The enormity of life

This painting was made using an unusual technique. The paint was spread on the canvas using knives which resulted in a more textured effect. If you moved your fingers across the canvas you could feel where the ocean started and where the land ended in distant mountains. There were birds in the sky that day, a little after sunset. The angry red of the sky faded into calm pink and blue night right where the mountains stood. The ocean below reflected the vibrant colours of the sky in its waves. It would be peaceful to walk on this shore upto where the mountains stood at a distance, thought the mind. Reflecting on the enormity of life.
